Sitting in the garden by a rather familiar tunnel, Bridge played his harmonica, hoping to draw out a certain visitor. He had some news he wanted to tell him, and was hoping that the Fraggle would be able to hear the music and come drop by for a visit.

And despite appearing calm on the outside, he couldn't help buzzing a bit with excitement.

"The shrinking machine?" He glanced from Bridge to Gobo beside him, practically abuzz with energy, and he laughed inwardly. Ah, he could guess what this was about.

"Why d'you ask?"

"Well, y'know how we found that one of my ancestors is a Fraggle? Gobo wants me to meet the other Fraggles down in Fraggle Rock. I was hoping to use the shrinking machine to get through the tunnel entrance."

"I thought that might be it." He rested his arms behind him, rocking on his feet a bit. "Ayye, the shrinking machine is in workin' order, but why not try for a Fraggle form o' your very own?"

That's the second time today he's nearly choked on his snack.

"Someone can just- do that?"

Bridge frowned, blinking in surprise. "You think I could? Wouldn't the blood be diluted too much?"

[moneymatters]

"Haven't you learned anythin' by now?" It wasn't a true chastising though, as he laughed some, spreading his hands. "Magic sticks around! Look at how it's carried through the McDuck line, no matter how much the blood spread out over the centuries. Or how even temporary shapes become permanent possible transformations, like the merduck.

"Why, a secret inner form could even be why you've had trouble with the duck from time to time. Getting your wires crossed, so to speak."

[takeittothebridge]

His frown deepened slightly, glancing from Gobo to Scrooge. "I mean...I guess I could try it. But I wouldn't really know what I'm feeling for."

"Well, we do have somethin' of an expert here. Gobo? What makes a Fraggle, a Fraggle?"

Suddenly put on the spot, he found himself stammering a moment before finally managing to talk. "Well, uh- Music, I guess. B-but not just any music! Every Fraggle's got their own inner song, which you find by listening to yourself."

"Then there you go! Bridge, I know it might seem like a difficult task when you've already written so many songs that come from you, but finding your 'Fraggle song' might be a place to start."

[takeittothebridge]

He looked between them again, his expression thoughtful. "Well..." he said after a long moment. "I guess it's worth a shot. Thanks, Uncle Scrooge."

[moneymatters]

"I have all the faith you'll be able to do it. You've mastered every other transformation you've had so far! True you might not find it right away, but I just know you'll get it in due time."

[takeittothebridge]

He chuckled a bit. "Thanks. I'll try my best."

[moneymatters]

He laughed lightly, giving Bridge a smile and a wink. "I believe that's all I've ever asked o' you."

[takeittothebridge]

"Yeah, I know," he said with another snicker. "We'll see what happens."

[moneymatters]

"Aye, o'course. You two go on to your day then. I should be in the Manor all day today, so I'll be around in case you need me."

[takeittothebridge]

"All right. Thanks, Uncle Scrooge. See you later." Glancing back at Gobo, he then turned and started heading out.

[gobetween]

He waved to Scrooge, then hopped after Bridge and fell in step beside him.

"I didn't even think of the magic working like that! Think you can really do it?"

[takeittothebridge]

"Maybe...It'll be tricky, though. Trying to tap into a whole new form that I didn't realize I had, providing it's actually there at all..."

[gobetween]

"Well, at least we have a place to start." He patted the pockets of his vest until he found what he wanted, being a Doozer stick. This he stuck into his mouth and idly sucked on it while walking along.

"If you listen, you might find a song. That might tell you whether it's there or not."

[takeittothebridge]

He nodded as they headed back out to the garden. "Yeah...though trying hear one song when I have a lot of different melodies in my head will be...a thing."

[gobetween]

"Do you know how many songs a Fraggle sings in a given day?" He laughed lightly, giving him a nudge. "If I can hear it, you can hear it."

[takeittothebridge]

"Yeah, but you know what you're listening for. I have to try to figure out which ones are just songs, and which one is my song."

[gobetween]

"Believe me Bridge, I know what you mean. We don't just sing songs we write them too, half the time on the spot. And when Cantus showed up for the Grand Medley, all we got was 'listen.' It wasn't the most helpful advice."

He laughed, then rolled the Doozer stick around to the other corner of his mouth with his tongue. "You'll know, though. But don't worry if you don't find it right away, neither did Red."

He snickered a bit, taking a seat in the grass. "So, how do you tell the difference?"
