Let's get a little day drunk

Scrooge crossed the grass with a rather decided march, though careful of the cargo he carried. Rather longer than he would've liked- even though it was only a few minutes of a walk at the most -he descended down the steps and to the cottage-looking door that'd been set in a hill, open to the sky. This was the ground-access passage to the Fraggle home beneath Duckburg, and it was on this door he pounded his spare fist twice. While he waited, what he held in his other hand giggled twice, and Scrooge rolled his eyes.

"I guess it's just a little different, usually. Most of the time, the girls or Louie or someone else is around, too - and I love all of them! But not the way I love you two. Maybe we can pick some times for us three to do things together. I don't know, it's probably a silly idea..."

"Dating." He lifted his head enough that he could see, using the back of his hand to brush the blanket back to help with that. "You're describing dating."

[forachange]

"Oh yeah, huh?" Wembley giggled. "Well, we should do that, then, that way! We can do all sorts of things together, us three."

[gobetween]

"I would definitely like that." A smile, then a bit of a wince before he let the blanket drop, returning to the soup.

"...Starting tomorrow."

[forachange]

Wembley's giggle became more of a snicker, then, and he nodded. "Yeah, starting tomorrow sounds good."

[scaredsilly]

"Tomorrow then." Done with his dishes, he picked them up and walked into the kitchen, mindful of Gobo's headache as he set them down to be washed.

"In the meantime, we'll try to keep it down for you, Gobo. And you know, a dark room will help wonders. Standard migraine treatment honestly, plus a little extra food and water, when you can stomach it, to keep your hydration and nutrition levels up."

"Well, if a dark room will help, it's a good thing we're underground," Wembley observed, the last of his laughter fading as he quickly got to his feet and started digging into a cupboard, emerging after a few moments with a bell. He moved carefully so as not to ring it himself, and handed it to Gobo. "Here. If you need us."

He took the bell, looked at it for a moment, then looked back.

"Wembley. You were careful with this just now why?"

“Well, gee, Gobo, so I didn’t make your headache worse, of course. Wh- Oh. Oh, right.” A sheepish smile as he gingerly took the bell back. “Well, uh... You just get our attention somehow, if you need us.”

[gobetween]

Despite everything he had to smile some, up at him.

"It's a nice thought, Wembley." He rested his arms crossways on top of the table, folding the blanket in with him. "But I'll figure out some way to get your guys's attention without it."

“Yeah. Uh...” Wembley glanced over at Boober uncertainly, questioningly. “...Or you could stay out here with us? Maybe?”

[gobetween]

He thought about that a moment, then smiled and nodded. Carefully.

"Yeah. That sounds nicer than sitting in my room by myself. Even if it is a bit noisier."

[forachange]

"Well, good, then. I'm glad," Wembley said softly. "And I mean, this way, we'll both be right here if there's anything you need. You won't have to wait."

"Yeah, that's true." He glanced down at the bowl near him, then geeently pushed it away and shifted to lay his head down on his arms.

"I may have to wait on finishing this, though. I'm afraid I might see it again too soon if I try to eat anymore..."

"That's alright, Gobo." Unfazed by the talk, he picked up the bowl and headed toward the kitchen with it. "I'll store the rest of it away for now, and you can try to eat more later. In the meantime I'll get you something for your stomach."

Pausing, he glanced back. "Have you taken the headache medicine I left?" At a grunt, he nodded. "Good. I'll be back in a jiff."

Wembley, on the other hand, scrunched up his snout at the concern, though the moment passed quickly enough. He just had the best friends, and boyfriends, anyone could ever ask for.

He rested his own head on the table, as well. "Gobo? You wanna go somewhere that's more comfy?"

Wembley's not going to get much of a response. Like the reply to Boober, this was just another grunt from somewhere within the blankets.

"I think that means you want to wait. I'm not sure, though," Wembley murmured, before giggling to himself in a self-aware sort of way. "Sorry. Wembling again."

He paused for a moment, then folded the blanket a bit, just so the tip of Gobo's snout was "freed", then said - in all earnestness - "It's important that you can breath."

He does take in a deeper breath when the blanket is moved, and lets it out as a sigh. Shifting enough to pull out a hand, he gave Wembley another thumbs up, then folded that hand back into the blankets.

Wembley smiled, raising his head enough to shift it a bit side-to-side with pride. He was doing a good job helping out, and it felt really great.

When he walked into the room he paused at the door, then put his hands on his hips and clicked his tongue. "C'mon, Gobo." Walking over, he gently prodded the blanket in the shoulder until, with a(n exaggerated) groan he sliiiid up from the table and got out of the chair. "That's a way, come on. Let's go. You only have to go to the couch, it's not far."

Wembley smiled, content to just watch the two of them for a good while - Boober so in his element was especially nice, but just seeing the two together always made him happy. After some time, though, he got up to follow them into the sitting room, where Gobo collapsed against their couch, falling into the cushions. Just a beat before he took a seat on the opposite end of the couch, himself.

He looked at this scene and nodded, smiling. "Good. Now let's do something nice and quiet. Here Wembley, you can read this," as he handed over a book, "Gobo try to sleep if you can, and I'll be in the back doing some laundry. I just want to take care of some of the linens and things from last night, so I won't be gone long."

Wembley smiled warmly at Boober, very grateful that he didn't have to pick a quiet activity or even just a book for himself. He nodded, waved a "see you later" to Boober, then started to read.

And to scoot over closer to Gobo, bit by bit, though he was honestly just completely unaware he was doing it, or making the quiet sound he did with each scoot.

While Wembley was scooting over bit by bit, Gobo was scrunching up into the rest of the couch, and though it would go unseen there was a brief glare up from underneath the blanket. Then, left with either the choice of fold double or get off the couch entirely, he took a third option and just stretched back out, across Wembley's lap this time. He turned over a bit so he was 'facing' him, though the covers- save over the end of his nose -obscured everything, and one arm stretched out while the other stayed folded close to rest against Wembley's side. There was a half-grumbled "Stop shakin' the couch, eh" and then he settled in.
