Scrooge stood near the window that looked out onto the city, high enough in the Manor that he could see better past the sprawling grounds of his home. Sunrise would be soon; somewhere out there, men had been carted off to jail from a warehouse complex. In his home various innocent parties slept- or tried to sleep -but no matter how much he himself had tried to settle down, he couldn't do it.

So he stood and watched, ostensibly to see the dawn break, but really he was just too anxious to rest.

"Huh...so it could definitely be possible."

The idea was certainly interesting.

"Bridge, I don't think it was serious."

Still, he laughed as he said it. It was definitely an intriguing idea, wasn't it?

He snickered. "I know. But wouldn't that be something?"

[gobetween]

Another laugh. "Somewhere back in your history, a Fraggle! It's definitely a thought!"

With another snort, he grabbed a nearby guitar and sat on the couch, idly strumming a chord. "It'd be kind of neat to find out. If anything, it'd definitely be a good way to stick it to my dad's family if it comes from their side."

He glanced up curiously at that. "How do you mean?"

[takeittothebridge]

He hesitated for a moment, then shrugged. "My dad's side of the family are human purists. They're pretty biased against pretty much everyone else, unless they need something from them."

Like when they had still been working for Scrooge.

[gobetween]

He snorted at that, rolling his eyes. "Now I almost wish there was something there, just to prove them wrong."

"Right? Wouldn't that show 'em?"

[gobetween]

He laughed, nodding. "Sure would! And there's no better 'something else' than a Fraggle."

Of course, he might be biased.

He snickered, strumming the guitar again. "Although if that is the case, I'd have to wonder what a Fraggle would've seen in someone from that family. 'cuz as far as I can tell, they're all assholes."

[gobetween]

"Well..." He considered some, idly watching Bridge play. "Fraggles like music. Nothing's more important to us. And Fraggles like fun and games, and are overall pretty kind. If a Fraggle is in your history somewhere, then either the person they were with was different from the rest of the family, or the family being- jerks was a recent development."

[takeittothebridge]

He thought about that for a moment. "I wouldn't be surprised if there was an outlier somewhere. That was pretty much my dad in his family. But it's kind of nice to think that they weren't always like that."

[gobetween]

Another faint eyeroll. "Something tells me you wouldn't be willing to ask them for family records, though."

[takeittothebridge]

He snorted. "We're not exactly on speaking terms."

[gobetween]

"Didn't think so. You're way too nice for how you said they were." He considered a moment, then chuckled softly. "Still, it's kinda fun to think about all the same."

He snickered. "I try. It helps that I didn't met them until a year or so ago."

[gobetween]

He laughed a little. "Yeah, I think that would do it."

With another laugh of his own, he strummed a few more chords on the guitar.

"....I wonder how one would check for something like that."

[gobetween]

He thought a moment. "Would it be written down anywhere that you could check on your own?"

[takeittothebridge]

"...Maybe, but I'd have to find someone who could look into that. Though I'm pretty sure Uncle Scrooge would have those kind of resources."

[gobetween]

"Scrooge has a whole lot of things, eh?" He waved a hand slightly. "That's how it seems anyway, just from the little bits I've seen so far."

"That's for sure." He snickered a bit. "Honestly, it'd be easier to count what Uncle Scrooge doesn't have."
