There's a storm out there, so you must prepare for the freezing rain and snow

The long yard of Scrooge McDuck's Duckburg property was a veritable winter wonderland right now. The garden was mostly dormant, though the greenhouse offered a sanctuary of warmth. The trees, ground, arches, and everything else was covered in a thick blanket of snow, glistened brightly in the early afternoon. Everything was still and quiet, at least until a little bit of snow over toward the sleeping garden plots started to move.

A good-sized patch of it shifted, then broke and slid down in packed chunks. Every now and then a small pair of gloved hands could be seen clearing away the snow, though it was mostly the snow itself moving. At least, that was until most of the Fraggle Hole had been cleared away and Gobo himself, dressed in multiple layers and yet still no pants, with a pompom beanie pulled down past his ears, was able to work himself out to freedom. Getting to his feet, he brushed some snow off the front of his (main) sweater and looked up toward the house to see if anyone else was around outside, before he headed inside.

There was no one outside at first, but a few moments later the door opened to let Bridge step out, a shovel slung over his shoulder.

Though he and Dixie lived in Birchpointe, they still did visit their Duckburg home as often as they could. During this particular visit, there had been a rather heavy snowfall, and Scrooge had enlisted his help to clear the snow from the walkways.

Which he would have done anyway...eventually...but Scrooge using the twins' safety to get him to do it was totally uncalled for.

With a sigh, Bridge lowered the shovel and started pushing snow out of the way. Might as well get started.

Glancing up, he grinned a bit.

"Hey, Gobo! What's up?"

He bit back a snicker when Gobo fell face first into the snow.

"When is it?"

"The 21st..." He thought a moment, trying to remember if he had anything going on that day. "Yeah, I think I should be free that day."

"Yeah, I should be. Plus, it sounds like fun."

"Oh yeah. Christmas is a pretty big deal, so there's a lot that go into it. And that's not even considering how families or people have their own unique traditions for celebrating Christmas."

Following Gobo's gaze, he snickered and lifted the shovel again, pushing snow off the walkway.

"Yeah, it is pretty cool. Christmas is one of those things that a lot of people share, while still having their own ways to celebrate."

He snickered. "Definitely. This is one of my favorite times of year...though it can get a bit stressful sometimes."

"Something like that, yeah." There was definitely more to it than that, especially as far as Christmas itself was concerned, but he didn't want to bore Gobo with the details.

"So what're you up to right now?"

"You could say that, yeah. Uncle Scrooge has me helping him clear snow from the walkways around the manor."
