Scrooge stood near the window that looked out onto the city, high enough in the Manor that he could see better past the sprawling grounds of his home. Sunrise would be soon; somewhere out there, men had been carted off to jail from a warehouse complex. In his home various innocent parties slept- or tried to sleep -but no matter how much he himself had tried to settle down, he couldn't do it.

So he stood and watched, ostensibly to see the dawn break, but really he was just too anxious to rest.

With a nod, he headed back down the stairs and into the aforementioned room, filled with musical instruments and equipment.

"Feel free to look around."

He hopped down from Bridge and would take him up on that offer almost instantly, looking around with a good bit of wonder.

"What an amazing collection! And you really know how to play all of these?"

Not something he asked in disbelief, mind; just a confirmation, in that same amazement as on his face.

He grinned. "Yup. My dad used to own a music store, so I was able to learn a good number of them. Everything else I taught myself."

"Wow." He carefully touched one instrument, studying it with an appreciative eye. Then he snickered and glanced back.

"Are you sure you're not part Fraggle?"

He snorted.

"I dunno. Can Fraggles even get with people?"

[gobetween]

He considered that a moment, then snickered softly.

"I dunno, but anything's possible right?"

[takeittothebridge]

"In all honesty, I wouldn't be all that surprised if it did happen."

[gobetween]

"If it did, it must've been a while back."

He hopped up onto a seat near one instrument, looking at it a bit closer.

"Me and Uncle Matt are the only Fraggles I ever knew of to come aboveground." Gobo paused, thinking. "Though I guess others must have for people to even know what Fraggles are." A soft snicker, and he continued. "But I know around the Rock anyway, legends about Outer Space stretch way back into ancient history. So I guess... Yeah. Yeah! There must have been plenty of Fraggles who have been up here before."

Bridge frowned a bit, thinking. "Is it possible that there are other Fraggles? Like, other groups or something that you don't know about?"

[gobetween]

"Oh, it's definitely more than possible. Fraggle Rock may be the biggest collection, but those caves go far. There's a band of wandering minstrels that travel between them, and they can stay away for years at a time.

"Besides that, I know that there's Fraggles who live in other places that aren't Fraggle Rock or its tributaries. We're everywhere, most people just don't know it because we stay underground."

"Huh...so it could definitely be possible."

The idea was certainly interesting.

[gobetween]

"Bridge, I don't think it was serious."

Still, he laughed as he said it. It was definitely an intriguing idea, wasn't it?

He snickered. "I know. But wouldn't that be something?"

[gobetween]

Another laugh. "Somewhere back in your history, a Fraggle! It's definitely a thought!"

With another snort, he grabbed a nearby guitar and sat on the couch, idly strumming a chord. "It'd be kind of neat to find out. If anything, it'd definitely be a good way to stick it to my dad's family if it comes from their side."

[gobetween]

He glanced up curiously at that. "How do you mean?"

[takeittothebridge]

He hesitated for a moment, then shrugged. "My dad's side of the family are human purists. They're pretty biased against pretty much everyone else, unless they need something from them."

Like when they had still been working for Scrooge.

[gobetween]

He snorted at that, rolling his eyes. "Now I almost wish there was something there, just to prove them wrong."

[takeittothebridge]

"Right? Wouldn't that show 'em?"

[gobetween]

He laughed, nodding. "Sure would! And there's no better 'something else' than a Fraggle."

Of course, he might be biased.

[takeittothebridge]

He snickered, strumming the guitar again. "Although if that is the case, I'd have to wonder what a Fraggle would've seen in someone from that family. 'cuz as far as I can tell, they're all assholes."

[gobetween]

"Well..." He considered some, idly watching Bridge play. "Fraggles like music. Nothing's more important to us. And Fraggles like fun and games, and are overall pretty kind. If a Fraggle is in your history somewhere, then either the person they were with was different from the rest of the family, or the family being- jerks was a recent development."

[takeittothebridge]

He thought about that for a moment. "I wouldn't be surprised if there was an outlier somewhere. That was pretty much my dad in his family. But it's kind of nice to think that they weren't always like that."

[gobetween]

Another faint eyeroll. "Something tells me you wouldn't be willing to ask them for family records, though."

[takeittothebridge]

He snorted. "We're not exactly on speaking terms."
