Well when I'm wemblin' west, I take the friend I like best, so we can wemble side by side

It had been a bit of a struggle to get up to the counter in the first place, though thankfully the person that owned the cart was willing to come around to the side and help. Especially since he still wasn't sure about this... "money" thing, and had to be talked through which would be best. The rest he dumped in something marked Tip Jar- it was about a 300% tip, by the way -and then picked up both cups, nodding his thanks. Walking around and out of the line, he looked around for where he'd left Wembley, then smiled brightly and headed over.

"Here ya go!" He ducked under the overhanging bush and held out one cup, keeping the other for himself. "Drink it carefully, it's pretty hot. But I promise it'll warm you up."

"For sure!" He laughed softly, and took a longer drink of his cocoa. It was starting to cool off some, but was still plenty warm. The perfect temperature for a good long pull of it.

"I've been meaning to check Birchpointe out more anyway. I've only been here a couple times, some by myself and one day with Perdita, though that didn't exactly go the way we'd planned it. But I made a new friend anyway, so it all wound up okay."

"It's sure a lot bigger and taller than Duckburg, huh? And busier, too!" Wembley observed, spreading his arms wide - and accidentally spilling a bit of cocoa onto the sidewalk, in doing so. "...Oops. Well, uh, that wasn't too much, at least. So, which friend did you meet when you came out here with Perdita?"

He snickered under his breath- better on the sidewalk than his clothing? -then smiled at him.

"His name is Fenton, and he's another duck. He's..." Gobo paused, at a loss for a moment, then he snapped his fingers. "He's kinda like the Storyteller, but for information instead? I met him after Perdita and I got separated for a while, and at first I was pretty nervous, but that went away after a little while. We got to talking, and he asked me all sorts of questions about Fraggles, and he made notes and sketches and things like that. Said he was in Birchpointe studying people, and he'd never heard of a Fraggle before, so he wanted to get down as much information as he could."

"So he's an Informationteller?" Wembley offered. "It sounds like he's really smart... He must have answers to all sorts of questions if he's always askin' so many, huh?" He grinned, and there was a little skip in his step as he walked on. "Maybe someday I can meet him, and ask him a few questions about living up here!"

"He certainly seemed to be pretty smart! I know he was a little hard to follow 'til I got used to it." He laughed softly, giving Wembley a wide smile. "I think he'd like to meet you, too! You guys could trade all sorts of questions and answers."

Wembley's snout scrunched in amusement. "That's okay, Gobo, I know I can be a little hard to follow, too. Oh, probably not for the same reasons, of course, but it still counts, right?"

He snorted teasingly. "You're only hard to follow because out of eight directions, you go in seventeen in any one sentence."

Wembley giggled a bit, taking the teasing in good spirits. "I do do that, you're right!" he agreed. "Or... Well, I guess it's more like I go all eight and then add the seventeenth, huh?"

Gobo laughed warmly and nodded. "Yeah! That's for sure."

Finishing off his drink, he paused and looked around, then let out a little "Aha!" of satisfaction. Finding the trashcan he needed, he leeeeaaannnned up and pushed it through the flap, letting go.

Wembley watched carefully as Gobo disposed of the empty cup, then quickly slurped up the remainder of his own cocoa so he could do the same.

He liked doing the things Gobo did, sometimes - especially out here, where Gobo knew even more than he had about Fraggle Rock, it seemed. At least, he sure knew more compared to Wembley.

After a bit of walking, Wembley let out a delighted gasp - further down the street a bit, a few folks were sitting on the front steps of an apartment building. They had a phone set up to a speaker, and lively music filled the area. Wembley leaned over to tug on his friend's hand.

"Gobo, Gobo, look!"

Gobo had noticed it when Wembley had- it was hard to disguise music from a Fraggle's ears -and he lit up with delight, tail waving behind him.

"C'mon, let's check it out!"

The hand Wembley was holding onto wrapped around his friend's and he tugged him down the sidewalk. Once they got closer he crouched down and kept along at a good clip, finding a partial hiding spot nearby where he could still see the gathering. It wasn't long before he was bouncing his head to the beat of whatever song happened to be playing.

He grinned as he followed along, and by the time Gobo was bobbing his head in time with the music, Wembley had already started jumping in place and moving his arms with the beat.

"Do you think we can go say hi?" he asked in what he tried to keep to a hushed whisper, but it was hard when he was so excited.

Gobo glanced aside at Wembley, then back at the group.

"Gee I dunno, we don't know those Silly Creatures-"

"Aw, but they like music as much as a Fraggle does, see?" He pointed out, as a young man wearing a baseball cap and goggles began to beatbox along with the music, before dissolving into laughter. Wembley didn't even wait for Gobo's response - he was more than willing to take the lead on this one. He rushed out to the bottom of the steps, in plain view, and waved.

"Hey everybody, my friend and I were just enjoying your music!"

"Wembley wait-!" He half-stepped after him, hand out, then used that same hand to smack his forehead and sigh. Glancing up at the group nervously, he then half leaned around his hiding spot and held up a hand in a faint wave.

One of the other in the group, a young- man? -with long teal bangs framing his face and clothing in several loud colors glanced up, then lifted his beanie up some and grinned widely.

"Well butter my grits and call me breakfast!" He laughed and turned down the music, though he didn't turn it off completely. "Fraggles! Oh man, seeing you little squirts is a lucky treat!"

"Have you ever seen little fuzzball-dudes like this before, Jingles?" the beatboxer asked, looking impressed and pleased. "I've heard of Fraggles, but I wasn't even sure they were real." He leaned down where he sat, on the bottom step, and poked Wembley's stomach, causing the Fraggle to giggle. Then he turned his attention over to Gobo for a moment, before looking back to Wembley. "Is your friend shy?"

Wembley shook his head rapidly. "Gobo? Shy? No way, he's really brave! He makes friends wherever he goes, too!"

"Oh sure, absolutely! Fraggles are pretty magical little guys and you know me, I know everything there is to know about magic."

At the exchange between the two, and then the attention shift he glanced over, then stood up and smiled.

"It's alright little guy! We won't hurt you none, I promise."

Well... they didn't seem mean, and that note about magic definitely had him curious...

Still, it was with a bit of hesitation that he edged out, finally walking over to stand beside Wembley, eyeing the whole group carefully.

Wembley put an arm around Gobo's shoulders, giving him a brief squeeze. "Yeah, it's alright, Gobo, they seem really nice! And one of 'em knows all about magic!"

Ignoring Cody's sputtered protest - "one of us?!" - Wembley looked back up at Jingles, head tilted to the side slightly. "So, how do you know so much about magical things, anyway?"

Jingles smiled brightly and hopped to the bottom step where, despite the cold stone he took a seat to be better on their level.

"That's easy! It's because I'm a genie, and I've got all kinds of magic of my own." When he noticed the two of them pass a worried glance between themselves, he quirked an eyebrow.

"Lemme guess. Mean greenie genie?"

"Hey, yeah! That's it exactly, that guy was bad news! You seem so fun, though," Wembley pointed out, frowning in his confusion. "I mean, so did he at first, though, I guess... But you have that neat music, too!"

"No clue what you guys are talking about," Cody began with a shrug, "but I'm used to that with this doofus around. Trust me, Jingles isn't bad. I'm Cody, by the way, what's- Huh. Do Fraggles even have names?"

"Believe me, I know all about him. You kinda hear about the bad'uns on the ol' genie radio waves."

He leaned back and held up a hand, crossing himself with the other.

"But I'm a good genie! Fun and all."
